PHYSICAL EDUCATION
Students benefit from extensive sporting facilities which provide a sound basis
for physical education.
In 1996 our gym was opened.
It is a multipurpose modern gymnasium, which provides opportunities for
various sporting activities including P.E. classes, track-and-field athletics,
gymnastics, tennis and sport games: football, basketball, handball, volleyball,
floor ball.
In 2004 a new swimming pool was opened. Nowadays medical service, fitness centre, swimming pool, ballet-room and
skiing base (special equipment rooms) are located in the building of the swimming pool
house.
Sport brings adults and children together. It fosters a sense of unity and
encourages the development of such social qualities as enthusiasm, cooperation, loyalty and
unselfishness.
It has become a tradition to hold mini-football, basketball and
tennis tournaments.
The physical development programme includes swimming,
training in the fitness centre, general physical education classes
and therapeutic physical training.
Hiking has always attracted children. This is how children get
acquainted with their native land. It brings children in
contact with nature, builds up new relationships among
children and fosters character through development
overcoming difficulties. The school
has got a hiking club
called “Path”.
